Personal Profile

Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. This is a point which has stood the test of time and become apparent to me especially throughout the past number of years. Sarah Carmody is a performer from Co. Limerick,  having completed her studies in the BA Performing Arts within Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and, her chosen field being that of voice. Sarah is currently pursuing a MA min Music Industry Management in London College of Music. Having drawn much inspiration from many styles of artists such as Declan O’Rourke, Missy Higgins and Regina Spector, she has grown a love for the type of song that tells a story and aims to show an audience that even the darkest song has a story behind it to be both heard and listened to. She has learned that singing is a vice which allows us to transport, not only ourselves but all of those around us, into another world, for this reason she like to choose music that does not particularly reflect her personality but lets her venture into other parts of her artistic side. She has also done a great deal of volunteer work for festivals such as the Galway International Arts Festival and have a great interest in event management and production.
